Parliament House

On Thursday all of the Year 5's from MPPS went to Parliament House for their excursion. They arrived there at 9:30am. All of the Year 5's entered the Parliament House and talked about the history of it. They led us through a fancy staircase where the Legislative Council and the Legislative Assembly were. Everyone got to sit in the seats and got to see the process of how they figured out what law to make and debate on it. After the conclusion of that activity, we headed to our second activity in the theatrette. We watched a video on voting. All the Year 5's practiced how to vote. After lunch, we learned about democracy and played a fun card game before we boarded the bus and got back to school. All of the Year 5's enjoyed themselves and had a fun day!
