2026 Interschool Carnival
I would like to congratulate the members of the Interschool Carnival team that represented the school with pride in the last week of Term 3.
Finishing third overall, the sportsmanship and effort on display from the members of the interschool team is one they can all be proud of. All the hard work and training leading up to the carnival resulted in some excellent competition, particularly when it came to the team games, where Maylands Peninsula PS took home the Team Game Shield.
The final results were as follows:
- 1st- Bayswater PS- 2160 points
- 2nd- Bassendean PS – 2107 points
- 3rd- Maylands Peninsula PS - 1911 points
- 4th- Eden Hill PS - 1825 points
- 5th- Guildford PS - 1723 points
- 6th- Lockridge PS- 1570 points
As with the overall competition, the battle for individual champion honours was extremely tight. We are very proud of the three students who placed either as Interschool Champion or Runner Up:
- Year 2 Boy Runner Up Champion- Lucas Conti
- Year 6 Boy Champion- Oisin McCullogh
- Year 6 Girl Runner Up Champion- Shay Olowoyo
Finally, I'd like to acknowledge Miss Wyatt and Mr Christie as chief organisers of the interschool team, other members of staff who spent many lunch times assisting with the team game preparation, and all the parents/caregivers and other family members who attended the carnival to support our students. Well done to all concerned.
