Maylands Peninsula Primary Employment Opportunities

Voluntary Employment

School Canteen

Maylands Peninsula Primary School P&C are seeking volunteers to work in our school canteen. It's fun, easy work and a good way to meet other Mums, Dad's and carers in our school community. Your child will also love to see you in the canteen. Morning tea and lunch is provided for you and lunch is provided for your child.

If you can help once a week, once a fortnight, once a month or once a year we would love to book you on the helpers roster!

Please drop into the school and visit the canteen.

Employment opportunities for the canteen.

2 job opportunities exist for the school canteen in the coming months. 1 Canteen Organiser and 1 Canteen Organiser (Back of House). Please click on the following job description forms to download the JDF for each position. Canteen Organiser. Canteen Organiser ( Back of House).

The Maylands Peninsula Primary School Uniform Shop is open Thursday morning from 8.30am-9.00am and Thursday afternoon from 2.30pm-3.15pm. If you would like to help staff the uniform shop please visit during the opening hours to discuss with the co-ordinators.

Support-a-Reader Program

Support-a-Reader is on again this year and we are looking for volunteers who are willing to train as tutors. Training is provided. If you are interested in becoming a volunteer please contact Mrs Johnson in the school office on 9462 6700 so that training can be organised. If you have already been trained and want to continue again this year, please let Mrs Johnson know when you are available.

Tutors will need to be willing to get (or already have obtained) a Working with Children clearance through the Post Office.

Parents & Citizens membership

Our P&C membership is made up of parents, guardians and interested citizens (over 18 years of age) who are interested in supporting the school. Membership is $1.00 per annum and our meetings are held on the first Wednesday of each month (unless otherwise advertised through the newsletter, P&C email list and on the noticboard). The P&C runs the canteen, uniform shop and fundraises for the school. Your attendance at our meetings will ensure our viability. Minutes of the monthly meetings are available via email and children are welcome to come along if you have no alternative. Please email the P&C for further information.
