Message from the Principal

TERM 4 WEEK 5 18 November 2011

Hello again

Congratulations to the students, teachers and education assistants from Pre-primary 2 who presented a wonderful assembly this morning.

Next Monday morning our Year Seven students will be boarding a bus to take them to Bridgetown where they will spend a week participating in a range of exciting and challenging outdoor experiences. They will return at approximately 3:00pm on Friday November 25.

Orientation Day

Our Kindergarten and Pre-primary enrolments for 2012 have reached the 200 mark. We are in the process of identifying suitable new staff for the additional classes. An orientation day for Kindergarten parents will be held next Friday November 25 at 9:00am.

All parents have been advised of times by mail.

(WAMSE) test results

In Term 3, Year 5 and Year 7 students across the State sat the Western Australian Monitoring Standards in Education (WAMSE) testing in Science and Society and Environment. Our students performed exceptionally well when compared to the rest of the State. More details will be made available in the next newsletter. All students tested will be receiving a report on their WAMSE performance along with their general Semester 2 school report. Well done to all teachers and students on a very satisfying result.

Air conditioning

Next week the installing of air conditioning will commence in the new Early Childhood building. As a result Kindergarten classes will be temporarily moved to empty classrooms in the block whilst workmen are busy. Interruptions will be minimal. Class teachers will keep parents in- formed.
