Kaarakin Incursion

Last Thursday, our Year 2 classes hosted some very special visitors in the school library from Kaarakin Black Cockatoo Conversation Centre. The students had the opportunity to listen to Sam as he provided insight into the lives of these amazing birds and the role that the centre provides in rescuing and rehabilitating injured black cockatoos and returning them to the wild. It was a very memorable incursion. The star of the show was undoubtedly Princess Rex, the Baudin Cockatoo, who Sam had brought in to assist with his presentation. Thanks very much to one of our parents, Lynn Murray, who sponsored the visit.
